Trainspotting spin-cancelled TV show about Begbie in the kit and boodle, actor confirms
Trainspotting actor Robert Thomas Carlyle has confirmed that a spin-off TV show about his character, Begbie, is in the works.
"Irvine [Welsh, author of Trainspotting] and myself have been chatting quite a heap recently with a duet of superior producers in John Griffith Chaney about [continuing the Trainspotting narration]," Carlyle told NME. "As you know there was another book known as The Blade Creative person which is just only about Begbie and his frantic story. Information technology's still in its early moments but information technology's look pretty good that this will happen eventually."
Thomas Carlyle first appeared as Begbie in Danny Boyle's 1996 movie adaptation of Trainspotting, founded on Welsh's 1993 novel of the same discover active a mathematical group of Scottish heroin addicts.
